Published on 30 June 2015
BENETIS, a company which offers thermal spray material processing services, merged in May 2015 with APS Coating Solutions (Mécapole network), one of the French leaders of surface coating by dry process. Thus, this operation allows the emergence of a leading group in thermal spraying for the aeronautics, energy and defence industries.

Created in 2001 and founded by Mister Blanchard Nitoumbi, BENITIS is specialized in the improvement of the surface characteristics to protect from wear by abrasion, chafing, corrosion, cavitation and effects due to thermal shocks via its material thermal spray process. BENETIS has today more than 250 active clients of which 90% are significant partners and key accounts in specific markets such as aeronautics, space, defence or energy industries.

For its part, APS designs, develops, applies and sells high-tech coatings for the industry. Having its own design department, metallography lab and three production facilities, APS develops innovative solutions which respond to demanding technical and ecological specifications.

Thus, the takeover of the assets and business of BENETIS by APS shows the will of the two companies to combine their skills to speed up their innovative capacity in the new technologies and have a strong industrial capacity with a workforce of 170 employees.

Blanchard Nitoumbi, founder of BENITIS said : « Among all the options that were considered, the joint project APS BENITIS is the one that is the highest added value and made the most sense, both for the staff and the clients ».
