Established in 2017, E-OPHTALMO has been meeting a real need in the French market, offering an alternative to standard ophthalmic healthcare treatment methods. Based on its network of professionals and its platform developed with ophthalmologists, it allows patients to consult with an orthoptist for eye tests, which are then interpreted offline by an ophthalmologist.

The company decided to raise capital to finance its development, thus allowing it to be able to offer a wider range of services to its users. To achieve this, it consulted with business law firm LAMY LEXEL (Michel Masoëro, partner).

Some of the investors subscribed to capital directly, while others formed a group of contributors (almost 400) who had participated in a crowdfunding campaign led by WiSEED.

To ratify the shareholders’ agreement with the 41 company shareholders, LAMY LEXEL used an e-signature tool, which allowed them all to sign in turn, remotely. This facilitation was greatly appreciated!

E-OPHTALMO now has the necessary resources to achieve its goal: to become the leading player in the telemedicine market for professionals in ophthalmology.
