This acquisition, the third by the Vitaprotech Group in three months, after ARD and TDSi, enables the Vitaprotech Group to double its size in the access control sector and achieve consolidated turnover of more than 50 million euros, positioning it as a genuine European leader. The Group, which has been supported by Eurazeo SME since July 2018, thereby completes its offer with innovative and connected access control solutions and strengthens its position in the retail market in France and Europe.
Founded in 2009, Vauban Systems is positioned as a designer of hardware products and biometric readers, a publisher of supervision software and a technical service provider. Its solutions enable biometric identification and recognition, web-based visitor management, paid access, vehicle licence plate recognition, and other applications. The company also has an approved training centre for the 3,000 listed installers.
The founders of Vauban Systems will hold operational management positions at Vitaprotech and have reinvested in the project as shareholders, to provide essential continuity for the teams and customers.
Lamy Lexel Avocats Associés, with a team specialised in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions (Vincent Medail, partner lawyer, Mathilde Trannoy and Marine Massoni, lawyers) supported Vauban Systems and its shareholders in this transaction.
